Sixth Graders Use GoAnimate!

Ms. Brandeberry's students get animated about learning

Sixth graders love to learn new things. They are smart, curious and technologically inclined. A few weeks ago, I whipped a quick GoAnimate video together for my students on a couple of topics we were learning in Social Studies. We are big Edmodo fans so many of my students viewed it before class, and to my surprise many of them had watched it several times. By the time we watched it in class, I had students asking if they could also make videos. Their enthusiasm was contagious! Not only did they want to make videos on things we were currently learning, they decided they should make review videos on previous learning. They volunteered to make their videos during lunch, evenings and weekends. We now have student-made videos on the three branches of government, a field trip to our capitol building, religions and much more.

Mrs. Eaton’s Class Is Attracted To GoAnimate For Schools

GoAnimate

One part of our county’s Design for Excellence plan has teachers incorporating blended learning into their curriculum. The goal of blended learning is to join face to face learning with on-line instruction. Working with second graders and technology can be difficult but they have been excited to use Edmodo and the Apps that I purchased for our class. Last year I created a video using the FREE version of GoAnimate and I was hooked, so GoAnimate for Schools was the first App that I purchased when they were made available to us in the Edmodo App store.

As I perused the apps, I was thrilled to discover GoAnimate for Schools. After watching the demo video, I decided to purchase it for my students.

Kids And Teachers Give the GoAnimate for Schools App on Edmodo an A+!

Mr. Caratachea

GoAnimate for Schools recently released an app within Edmodo, and our class has been loving the new tool! Within Edmodo the students can open the GoAnimate app, and make their very own cartoons. The way that it is set up makes it really easy to start using, but at the same time there is always something new that we learn each time we make a cartoon in class.

Our GoAnimate For Schools Edmodo App Got 100% From Mrs. Alvarez!

I just finished using GoAnimate as an alternate format for our mandated curriculum’s dramatic text project and the kids loved it! Instead of just adapting a myth, fairy tale, or legend they read into a skit to perform in front of the class, they made animations. This app makes learning much more applicable to their lives and requires deeper and broader thought processes and they don’t even know it.
